Basic Care of
Flameables Roasters, Shish Kabob Skewers, Fire Pits and Grills
It will be important for you to
take care of your Flameables products to continually have a
wonderful experience using them. Here are some suggestions:
Care & Storage
Always thoroughly
clean and dry your roasters and skewers, before
storing. The use of SOS®
Steel Wool Pads or the abrasive side of 3M
Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges®
will make clean-up a breeze.
Application of a
light coat of edible cooking oil such as PAM®
Cooking Spray, to all metal surfaces of your
Flameables campfire tools (i.e.; Roasters, Shish
Kabob Skewers, Fire Pits and Grills), will inhibit
rust and keep your tools looking shiny and new.
Store a dry place.
Tips and Tricks
Should your
campfire tools experience rust from a moist
atmosphere, apply Naval Jelly (found at any hardware
store) using rubber gloves and an applicator, such
as a brush, and let stand 5-10 minutes. Use a wire
brush, scrub the areas where the naval jelly was
applied. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Follow up with
the application of edible cooking oil and storing in
a dry place, to prevent new rust from developing.
